Arrival immediately sets the tone for a very pleasant stay: very friendly and warm welcome with nice surprises. The cottage is really great: ideal space for two people, stays cool. Quiet area. The orange trees are also a nice plus! Beautiful surroundings: beautiful views of the hills, much greener than I expected. Can be a bit windy, but is usually very pleasant to cool off! Rural location, with several beautiful towns nearby to visit: Guimarães, Amarante, ... Porto is easily accessible by train from Penafiel or Paredes. The coastal town of Espinho is also easily accessible.

Very nice welcome and hosts. From my blog: We stayed in a magical place near Porto. In nature, without TV and relatively few digital incentives. The alarm clock consisted of a number of sheep, each with a bell, who came to graze under your bedroom window in the morning (luckily not too early). Bird concerts were everywhere and at the foot of the mountain you could hear the Tamega River. Every day fresh juice from the oranges, lemons and grapefruit that were still hanging on the trees and had survived the winter. Lots of flowers, plenty of green scrub and trees with nice and fresh scents. Pure peace and breathing space, unobstructed. Everything else was fine!

The owners provide a warm welcome with an eye for detailed sandwiches, a bottle of wine, everything is in order. Quiet location, nice pool and very central for visiting include Porto, Braga, Amarante, Guimaraes.Zalige holiday enjoyed!

Beautifully situated holiday house, amidst a beautiful garden full of flowers and fruit trees. An hour's drive from Porto, Amarente, the coast, the Douro valley ... great base. And again a refreshing dip in the pool. Extremely warm, hospitable hosts with many tips and explanations about the area. They are the icing on the cake! Recommended!

A very nice and beautiful stay, but due to the bad weather, which of course no one can do, we have to do a lot of electrical when heating to keep the house dry and pleasant.
