Farmhouse in Holwerd near the Sea

We were received very friendly and hospitable by the manager. For the children in our group, all conceivable facilities and lots of toys were available. The location of the holiday farm is ideal for enjoying the Wadden Sea, but also within walking distance of shops and the old village centre. The helpfulness of the manager is optimal. We really enjoyed our week's holiday in the Stelpshoeve!

We had a great time at this farmhouse! The place was super cozy and really well-equipped for a big family like ours, The kids loved the playground outside, and the location was perfect for exploring the local area, Did some mudflat hiking which was a unique experience! The only thing I’d say is that it could use a bit more seating in the living room for bigger groups, But honestly, would stay again in a heartbeat

We were warmly welcomed by Johann, our landlord, and were given a briefing on the house and especially on the great dishwasher, which took a lot of work off our hands. Our landlord was always available for us and approachable. The rooms were simple but functional and everyone said they slept very well. The bathrooms in all rooms were not the newest but were clean and the showers had consistently hot water and very good water pressure. Which is not so common everywhere. Our children were so enthusiastic about the play area and the size of the house that they didn't want to go home. The stairs up were steep, but that wasn't a problem even for the little ones. We enjoyed the super equipped kitchen, in which cooking together for and with so many people was really fun. Johann organized a mudflat hike for us, which everyone loved, especially the little ones enjoyed digging in the mud to catch crabs. A very well stocked new supermarket was a 2-minute walk away, as was a large playground for the little ones. The ferry terminal to the island of Ameland is 5 minutes away by car and it is definitely worth a trip to the island. All in all we had a very nice holiday and really enjoyed our time together.

The accommodation is dated, but adequate. The large living room with bar is a real plus, as are the many bedrooms with (almost all) their own sanitary facilities. We have been in cleaner and newer group accommodations, but all in all the stay was very nice and we had a great weekend. minute walk - you only use the accommodation so you have no one to deal with in terms of noise pollution except your own groupPrice/qualityIs fine. Especially for the summer days and the children. - The accommodation and facilities are really old. It still works fine, but I would recommend this in due course - The freshness of the accommodation. It seemed as if there had been no one for a while. All plates etc that were taken out of the cupboard had to go through the rinsing kitchen before we could use it. There is a lot of crockery and kitchen supplies available!The bedrooms are not very schoon.Maar if you look through it, it is fine.Tip: newer TV with HDMI connection

With a group of students we stayed in Holwerd with Johan. The house was finely furnished and Johan was always quick to help us if we had a question. 100% recommended!

After we canceled our booking for the autumn holiday and booked a new booking for next year (which is well arranged), it takes a long time before we get a response to the question whether the overpaid money can be refunded,

We went to Holwerd with a group of students. Johan was waiting for us and it was fun right away. Ideal home for large groups and lots of fun things to do in the area. Especially the mudflat walking on the penultimate day is highly recommended. Johan thanks.

The house is about 3 km from the ferry terminal to Ameland and therefore very cheap. In the immediate vicinity (100m) there is a well-stocked supermarket. The house itself is old and could do with a few cosmetic repairs in one place or another, but it is functional and offers everything you need when traveling with large groups. There is enough seating both inside and outside, the kitchen is also designed for groups of up to 30 people and offers appropriate cooking / washing and cooling options. The landlords Johan and Maya are also very nice and relaxed, even took care of a private guided mudflat hike for our group. Thank you so much!

Johan received us well and was very hospitable. We arrived a little earlier and had the option to wait inside until they finished cleaning. The accommodation was very spacious and everything was sufficiently available. Johan was available all week for our questions and came immediately if what was needed. We were a large group of girls and had a wonderful week here. We definitely recommend it for groups!
