Spacious and comfortable apartment with all necessary amenities, Ideal for exploring nearby Maastricht and the surrounding nature

The apartment was large and clean and fully equipped. The environment is beautiful. Although Mesch is small, two restaurants are within walking distance. The big disadvantage, however, is the large number of stray chickens and dogs. The roosters make a lot of noise most of the day when it is light; we slept with earplugs. There are also a number of dogs running loose, which relieve themselves in the courtyard. I am a big animal lover, but this is not hygienic, between all the holidaymakers, and the clucking of the roosters is really not nice.

Beautiful building in which the apartment is located. We found that it is a dark space. Bedroom in the attic beautiful but very warm. There is only a small skylight for airing. Little furniture but a lot of unnecessary clutter to embellish the room. You also have to like rooster crowing because you hear that all the time. Mattress in the attic room and pillows to be replaced. Bathroom and other amenities were okay.

We stopped our holiday after one night in the Meschermolen. In our opinion, the lady who runs it was not very cooperative and we ran into a number of things. Unfortunately we did not sleep, because there are many roosters walking around in the yard, who bid against each other until dark and make a lot of noise early in the morning. Troublemakers did not help us. The owner does not provide a safe place for racing bicycles or other bicycles of value. Also tells us that she doesn't like cyclists. Furthermore, the bedroom smelled musty and the boiler was noisy. After one night, we stopped the week of vacation. Our own choice, but for us resting is important in our holiday.

The Meschermolen is a beautiful, atmospheric location, with a nice courtyard garden where you can sit on the terrace in front of your own apartment. The apartment itself is also attractive and well furnished. A disadvantage is that there are roosters walking around in the courtyard and they start crowing very early in the morning and only stop after sunset.

The arrival was messy. The hostess was very (too) busy. There were problems with the lock, the heating and the refrigerator. Apart from the last problem, these have been solved. The accommodation was fine, nicely informal and fun (dressed in Christmas style). The area was beautiful, walked a lot. There were also food and beverage outlets within walking distance (less than 1 km I estimate).

It is expected that as a vacationer arrives between 15:00 to 17:00. the key manager was not present for the 2nd time (1st time elsewhere). Again we had to look and wait. We have trouble others must fall where we needed to be. On departure it was accidental or aanwezig.Het apartment very nice and clean !!
