The city is one of the most beautiful in Tuscany and its location in the center of the city triangle of Pisa-Florence-Siena makes it an ideal starting point for exploring this beautiful region of Italy. A trip to nearby San Gimignano, known for its impressive medieval towers, or to one of the wineries in the area, where the famous Tuscan wines are produced, is also worthwhile.
