The location is on a mountain, overlooking the village of Acqualagna, which lies in the valley. In the yard there is a beautiful house, with an apartment on both sides and further on there is a detached house with lots of privacy. We had rented this house. Between the houses is a beautiful swimming pool with beach beds, hammocks and sun tents, where you can lie under. We were received by Thomas, the grandson of the owner. He did the maintenance of the swimming pool, the garden and the houses. Thomas speaks English well and was very helpful. Everything was present in the house and the atmosphere was authentic with a great sense of detail. The beds were bad (very nice), but you could really feel the metal springs sticking in your back and hips. This often applies to Italian beds and is not really conducive to a good night's sleep. The view from the cottage is beautiful and there is a lot of privacy with this house, while you are also close to the pool. At the time of the construction of the houses (12 years ago) a dog came to see the construction every day. This dog has stayed, is called Luna and lives in the yard. Luna later had a puppy; Stella and together they come to see all the houses every day. We are dog lovers and found this very pleasant. Our children loved them and were followed everywhere. If you absolutely do not like dogs, this can be an obstacle. We had a wonderful week and visited the villages of Urbino, Gubbio, Cagli and Acqualagna. The Marken is a very quiet area and we hardly met any tourists. This is, in contrast to the beautiful Tuscany, a real relief. Because you share the pool with a maximum of 2 families / couples and usually not everyone is at the pool at the same time, you regularly have the pool for yourself. This is nice and pleasant if you want to read by the pool. We definitely want to return to this location!

Beautiful holiday home with swimming pool in ditto surroundings, well-kept domain with limited number of guests (3 cottages) and very attentive reception. Regularly the endearing owner or his grandson came along with the question if everything was in order. Once even with aperitif and bruscetta) The cottage was comfortable and clean. We stayed as a family of 5 with three children what is only doable if they are still small (our 2-year old slept in a self-taken cot). Once older, 4 people is a maximum. The house is near a cozy village not far from larger cities such as Fano, Gubbio and 1.5 hours from Perugia and Assisi. The nearby motorway ensures some noise, depending on the wind.Conclusion recommended, especially for - not too big - families who are looking for a child friendly stay with peace.
