Farmhouse by Lake Trasimeno with Pool

The structure is very beautiful on the outside, but it lacks attention to detail. Unfortunately the swimming pool, although large, had very cold water ... the interiors are a bit dark. The lack of natural lighting should be compensated for by a rather poor artificial lighting. Positive note is the absolute silence that reigns in the place.

That's cheating. The host tried to give us a completely different apartment than the one we had booked and already paid for. As proof of this, I made a video of the apartment. It was much smaller, poorly equipped and smelled. In addition, a large wedding party was just arriving, for whose celebration a DJ desk including speakers was set up right in front of our entrance door. The host could hardly or not at all English and reacted very angry and aggressive on my attempt to clarify that it was the wrong apartment. Since we couldn't reach anyone at Belvilla, there was no other option than to look for alternative accommodation for a family of 5 on our own at 6:30 p.m. The first 10 hotels I called were all fully occupied ... The sheer horror for a family with small children after 11 hours of travel time!

Pros; the pool is nice, the pizza is nice and there is a lot of toys for young children. And it's cheap. there are so many mosquitoes that you are stung 20 times within 5 minutes. This forced us to sit in the dark and apartment and the outdoor playground cannot be used. The apartment has a very outdated bathroom and has low doorposts (everyone over 1.80m must stoop). In addition, there was no atmosphere outside the high season, they do not speak a word of English and do not try, the animals look somewhat neglected and the terrace was full of dead mosquitoes. Because of this we did not feel welcome and left a week earlier than planned. The lake is nice with beautiful places and islands, but there is nothing within walking distance of the apartment (also no shop) so everything has to be done by car.

Spacious apartment, spacious grounds, nice pool (2m deep, runs up to 120cm) for a refreshing dive. Restaurant present so you do not always have to cook yourself. Nice owner who speaks a few words of English.

Quiet environment and very hospitable stay. Rooms very basic, outdated, spacious and completely in the style of a Borgo. Few words Italian learning on the go is not a luxury, because the staff does not speak English. Welcoming and hospitable. We especially liked the rest. We could not find the wellness mentioned here.

A very nice podere with nice apartment, relaxed atmosphere, nice swimming pool, quiet garden, delicious food in the restaurant, good wifi, friendly hostess. Centrally located, good base for Umbria and Tuscany. The immediate surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and there is everything to see in the towns and smaller villages.
