We have stayed in Huize Marilena for almost 3 weeks with our 3 children. The house is in a place with a beautiful view and what a rest! Every evening you will be enchanted by the rising moon over the mountains and the lights of the beautiful city of Chania. By car you are super fast in the village with all amenities including supermarkets and a delicious bakery! George is the host, a very nice, quiet man who cleans the pool and the surrounding area every morning. George is always there for you and speaks good English. Huize Marilena is a very nice place, with all the amenities you need. It is now a bit outdated and you notice this by the somewhat low showers, here and there a leaking tap and some cosmetic items such as the sealants at the pool. Should this spoil the fun? No! If you can / want to look through this, you will have the time of your life! Thanks for the hospitality George, see you next time!!

Unfortunately, we couldn't use the beautiful pool because there were a lot of insects (bees, ,,) at the pool. Both showers are only suitable for people under 170 cm. Unfortunately, work was being done on the two new buildings next door
