Apartment La Cala Boulevard

Apartment is kind of office hotel. No oven, no air ventilation; air stays still. Cooking is limited to microwave dinners. Kitchen hardware is very, very poor. Fridge is so small that lemonade bottle does not fit to door pocket. Included parking is communal parking place that is about full around the clock. Very confusing communication after booking at VRBO. Faro Homes tried to collect second deposit about 300€. Only positive is location.

Having travelled to all parts of the world for over 40 years, this is my first review and it’s a bad one. First things first, there was nothing at all wrong with the apartment or the instructions on how to access it. Clear and easy. Apartment was of standard fare, if a little dark. No problem for us. On the second day we left the keys in the apartment and closed the door. Shouldn’t have been a huge problem, it was 6.15pm and the helpline number was available until 7pm and an emergency number after that. Contacted the helpline number and after some time the person on the other side came back and said there was no other key available and to call à locksmith- number provided. We got back and said surely the cleaners had a duplicate key or the owner. No was the answer and the cleaners worked set hours- not provided. We tried to contact the locksmith- no reply. We obtained another number for à locksmith from à publican. No reply. At that stage we realised my girlfriend’s medication was in the room and she wasn’t sure if she had turned off her hair straightener. So there now was a medical issue and a fire issue. Contacted the helpline again and the emergency number- no reply. The helpline came back to say they were finished work at 6pm (whereas the contract said 7pm). That was it, no mention of medical or fire issue. Of course it was Friday!! Anyway we obtained alternative accommodation 15kms away and came back the next morning. The front door was open and it was obvious that the cleaners had been working. We then got in touch with the locksmith to open the door. Which he did in 5 seconds for €120. So that is my longwinded review and reply to whether I was “satisfied with my stay”.

The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a nice kitchen with a stove and microwave, We enjoyed cooking our meals and having breakfast on the balcony, The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot days,

A straightforward apartment that met all our needs, The living room was spacious, and we enjoyed our evenings watching TV, No frills, just a solid place to stay,

La Cala de Mijas is beautiful, and this apartment is in the heart of it all, The coastal path nearby is perfect for morning walks, We really enjoyed our time here,

This apartment is a gem! The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by fantastic restaurants, The living room is cozy, perfect for relaxing after a day out, Highly recommend it for anyone looking to unwind!
