Pool Getaway Near Antequera

Villa Campito is a beautiful place to stay with good facilities, especially the pool for a nice family vacation. Beautiful village surroundings, above all the lovely view in the mountains. At night, there is a lot of barking, probably also due to the wolf park nearby. The manager and contact person are easily reachable and helpful.

All in all, we had a great stay, but the house leaves much to be desired. Beds are fine and there is hot water (although not enough for a full bath). The internet is fast and reliable. Unfortunately, the kitchen is not in order. Blunt knives, bad pans, no kettle, hardly any glasses. Also don't expect salt, pepper, or soap and there is minimal toilet paper on arrival. Part of the lighting did not work. The shower has no shower head holder on the wall so that means holding yourself overhead! We had already read about dogs in the area barking at night and we can confirm that. But earplugs did their job along with good blinding. We had good weather and were out and about a lot (Nov 22). This is not a house to spend a lot of time in.

The house is easily accessible and enough space to park the car. Everything is there in the house itself, but you notice that this needs a makeover, as everything also feels a bit old-fashioned. Ants in the kitchen, water does not stay in the sink, there is always a wardrobe in the bedrooms but without drawers, only hangers, there is no shower rod so you have to keep holding it to shower (but otherwise a good shower and bathroom). But for us the biggest problem is the persistent barking, especially at night, from dogs. The pool and the fantastic view make up for it.

Super cozy and had all the essentials, I loved the garden area for barbecues in the evening, Would def recommend this spot!

The cottage is beautiful in the mountains, but is poorly decorated. It was not clean, the furniture, both inside and outside, is very uncomfortable, the service is insufficient (2 wine glasses for 4 people ??). there are dried flowers that are so dusty that you only sneeze at the sight.The shower leaks so that the boiler is always half empty and gives insufficient hot water.In addition, neither the house itself nor the address where the key is located. There are no street names in the village but only a neighborhood name and no house numbers. So you have to know the name of the house to find the key, but it was not specified. So a long, complicated, difficult search through various houses. Dogs from the upstairs neighbors keep you out of sleep at night.

We were happy "morning arrived by plane so we had plenty of time to find the villa." In the evening we find it very difficult to find. We have traveled to Seville, Cordoba, Ronda and Malaga. Because the dark earlier in this period, we had in those cities leave on time. Especially the drive from Villanueva to Campito villa is not the easiest way in the dark. But oh, that view from the villa. It's gorgeous and absolutely worth it again to go. We enjoyed plenty.
