Stylish Forest Mansion Stay

The cottage is fine, but there are many issues with the park and the communication. The park shop is closed all weekend and the restaurant only opens in the evening. So there is no opportunity to get food, drinks, or ice cream in the park all day, especially with temperatures rising to 32 degrees. Even at the reception, nothing is available. Furthermore, it is a car-free park, where you are not even allowed to bring your luggage or groceries to the cottage by car. The solution is golf carts, but there are so few that they are not available the entire weekend. The result: having to walk through the park in the full heat, quite a large park, so walking to the pool takes you 10 minutes and going back and forth to the car (to do grocery shopping outside the park) takes about 30 minutes of walking. You can wait for the shuttle, but then you might have to wait at least 15 minutes in the sun with your groceries. Additionally, a car-free park is a nice concept, but when the golf carts are zooming around and the own shuttle buses are speeding through the park at 30-40 km per hour, the concept doesn't hold up well. Then there's the beautiful lake that is heavily advertised, renting canoes, boats, and SUPs sounds great, but unfortunately, with 32 degrees, it's still not possible because it's closed due to the water being too cold... the mini-golf was closed all Sunday because an external group rented everything out. All shops are closed and there is nothing available for everyone in the park, but for the external group, tents are being set up and food trucks are ready, which is just ridiculous. All in all, this leaves a significant mark on the weekend and it's a shame for the park that is nicely and spaciously set up. We had a great stay! We were here for a week and added an extra night, The house on the water is beautiful and luxurious with beautiful bathrooms, We only bought a bread knife and a tea glass because they were missing, The facilities are top! A large swimming pool and a nice children's pool with supervision at all times, The restaurant is cozy and the shop had fresh bread rolls that we bought every morning, The staff was super friendly and helped us with our luggage on the day of arrival and departure, We also made trips to Lille, Tournai and Mons, I can recommend this park to everyone!
