Cottage in the heart of the Ardennes woods

My family really enjoyed our time here! The kids loved playing in the garden while we relaxed on the terrace.

During my stay, I explored nearby Logne Castle ruins and found it fascinating. The area felt safe and had plenty of activities that suited me well as a solo traveler.

This place is cozy and comfortable, just what I needed for a relaxing break. Loved the fireplace!

Upon arrival, the cottage was in a beautiful setting. We had to contact the landlord by phone, who casually told us that the door was open and the key was in it. When we opened that same door, a musty smell hit us. Upon looking around the cottage, everything was dirty and filthy. Basic hygiene was not up to standard, just like the fencing for pets. We had booked and paid for 3 days, but only took a walk with the dogs and left the same day. It is a pure shame that this is still being rented out. When filing a complaint with Belvilla, you only receive an email back stating that they have blocked your number. This was the first and last time we will book anything through this site. the step down to the kitchen needs to be marked and everything else is outdated.

Hello, the stay went well. However, we find that the rental amount does not correspond to the quality provided. No one to welcome us and give us information, just a note saying that the cottage is open. No hot water at the kitchen sink, the aerator of the bathroom faucet is missing, if you turn it on a bit too hard, you get splashed thoroughly. It took us 15 minutes to get the TV on the right channel, no manual... At the end of the stay, we looked in the electrical panel and discovered a tripped circuit breaker, which is the one linked to the small boiler in the kitchen; once again, nothing indicated what to do. We reset it, but it didn't hold. We heated water for the dishes in the electric kettle, the base of which is partially melted. Other than that, the setting is beautiful, and the region is superb.

It is the most beautiful area of the Belgian Ardennes, in my opinion. Super friendly pleasant owner & idyllic beautiful garden. Directly on walking paths through the forest of Harre.

The photo on the accommodation ticket belonged to a lodging that we could not use. The kitchen is far too small and showed several defects: outlets that did not work, the extractor hood was glued together, lights were filled with kitchen paper (so they didn't work either),... In the living room, the sofa was very dirty, one cushion was even soaking wet, the electrical cabinet was not closed, and the fuses are no longer compliant with the law. Electrical wires are practically exposed on the floor. The garden chairs were very dirty, and on the accompanying cushions, we found clumps of cat hair (from the house cats) and not just a few hairs. The pets disturbed us multiple times. The cushions on the beds were definitely not hygienic and of various types. Sorry for this list, but I find this accommodation unworthy of being rented out. We even considered leaving and looking for another place to stay.

What a little paradise. The peace, the quiet, the beautiful green garden, a babbling stream, and lots of birds. We really enjoyed this place, we only sat outside because it was very warm, but it was lovely under the trees. The cottage itself was fine, although some furniture could be updated. But it was clean and very complete!
