Charming Cottage in Stoumont

The description on the Belvilla page was not entirely correct. According to the description there would be a 140-200 bed, but these were 2 mattresses of 90 wide. So the bedding we brought with us did not fit. The beds were also not comfortable, we had back problems. There was supposed to be a coffee machine for pods in the kitchen, but the pod holder was missing. Everything else was fine and we had a nice holiday. Tip to add in the house: Oven mitts

We had a truly fantastic holiday here in perhaps the most beautiful area of the Ardennes. We were able to walk with our dog in the area and "in the evening enjoyed the tranquility and the beautiful starry sky. The building consists of 2 residential parts of which we stayed for a week in the right (the smallest part). Charming, but also certainly knus.Op the day of arrival we were a little late due to crowds on the way and did not see the owner, but everything was ready for us.The cottage was fully equipped and more than we had thought.In addition to a regular coffee maker for filter coffee, there was also a Senseo. Good Wifi and even Netflix was available. Lovely to relax after a busy day. The bedroom on the 1st floor has a nice large double bed, with a really nice mattress. I quickly suffer from my back and shoulders, but I slept really well on this mattress!Main reasons for not giving 5 stars: the sofa was not really comfortable.Low for us and quite cramped.The bathroom was also very narrow.This made it difficult to dry off after the shower without ramming the wall. Considering the very decent price, it is absolutely acceptable. So maybe until next time here at this dog-friendly location!

A delightful stay in Stoumont! The cottage felt like a home away from home, The interior was tastefully decorated, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, We especially enjoyed our evenings on the terrace, grilling and enjoying the tranquil garden, The location was perfect for exploring the Ardennes and nearby towns, Would definitely come back!

Beautiful place, peaceful and very warm welcome. Very good bedding. My daughter and I had a very pleasant stay. I warmly recommend this cottage ideal for two people. Many activities just minutes away by car.

On arrival it was unclear where the key had to be collected. There are 3 houses that starts with 18. A younger lady (this is the daughter of the owner) came to us and opened a house. No explanation was given about the possibilities. We ourselves have been here for 8 days and we have not seen the owner in the field, only her daughter who hardly speaks English. The cottage itself the private garden was not swept, there were leftovers of cigarettes on the sidewalk. The barbecue has a broken handle, the handles of the rack of the barbecue were missing, the rack of the barbecue itself was not cleaned. it is a pity that after 11 o'clock in the morning you have no sun in the garden, although that is not very bad at 30 degrees. It was also unfortunate that there is only one deckchair in the garden that was damaged. Inside it looked older than on the pictures (which in itself was not the problem) The kitchen was pretty oké.Het kitchen utensils was greasy when grabbing, on top of the fridge was a yellow stain that had not been cleaned, the cupboards and sink and extractor were neat.De bedroom at the entrance there were two mats on the floor along both sides of the bed, here lay several hairs and we have put under the bed.Beat under the bed was a package of a tampon. bed linen on the bed itself (fitted sheet) was not fresh, here lay hair on.De pillows and blanket that were present we ourselves did not use as we found it not hygienic after seeing the fitted sheet, the mats and finally the mattress Above the cupboard where you can store your clothes in what is very handy were several cobwebs and a lot of dust.It was very nice that there was a window that could fully open.The bathroom looked clean at first. top can t of the tap was clean and the shower and toilet were clean. Nothing to do in the village. Trois Ponts was a quarter of an hour drive and there you had everything. We had booked with the other couple for the same price. But once arrived, one house turned out to be larger than another house. The cottages were not right. Dead flies on the ground, cobwebs, dirty glasses, ... We did have an indoor pool which was not on the site, was pleasant surprise.

This cottage exceeded our expectations! It was spacious enough for our family, and the kids had a blast playing outside, A great place for both relaxation and adventure
