This stay centers around a cozy, fully equipped forest house tucked away in a peaceful silence area in Oud-Turnhout, where up to five guests can wake up surrounded by woods and purple heath. It is an ideal getaway for hikers, cyclists, and dog owners, sitting within walking distance of the "De Liereman" nature reserve, the Bels Lijntje cycling path, the Netherlands-Belgium smuggling route, and Wortel Kolonie. The home features a large, wild, and entirely enclosed garden where pets are warmly welcome, alongside two terraces, ample parking, a sandpit, playground equipment, and a fun go-kart.
Inside, the 3-bedroom layout balances rustic charm with modern comforts like streaming services, a book library, board games, and air conditioning for summer. For cooler days, the living room is warmed by both a traditional wood stove and a smart pellet stove. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and espresso machine, while the bathroom offers a deep bathtub, an indoor shower, and a hot/cold outdoor shower. Nearby, you can explore the local dining and shops in Oud-Turnhout, visit the museums and terraces of Turnhout, or plan day trips to Tilburg and Bobbejaanland.
Please note that barbecues and open fires are strictly prohibited due to the protected nature reserve location, and the smart pellet stove operates exclusively from October to April. Additionally, a cot and high chair are available for families, up to two pets are welcome, and excessive energy or water consumption may incur extra charges.

What a lovely little house! I was immediately sold on how cozy both the house and garden are arranged. This little house has been lovingly decorated by the owners as if it were for themselves. The owners were also super hospitable; there was even a nice snack and drink ready for us. Additionally, there was plenty of bath linen, kitchen towels, and fleece blankets provided. It is also truly a wonderful area for walking (with dogs). You are right next to many walking routes without having to cross busy roads first. It has really been a vacation in our own country for us. We will definitely come back!

The chalet in Oud-Turnhout is a hidden gem surrounded by nature, We spent our mornings hiking through the nearby nature reserves and afternoons relaxing in the beautifully kept garden, The kids loved the trampoline and sandpit, and we enjoyed evenings around the tripod BBQ, The welcome gifts of Belgian chocolate and regional beer were a delightful touch, The cozy interior with the pellet stove made for a perfect setting during chilly nights, Highly recommend for families looking for a peaceful getaway!
