This modernly furnished chalet for a maximum of 6 people is located in Kötschach-Mauthen in Carinthia, not far from the Kötschach-Mauthen-Vorhegg family ski area and the lively town center.
The chalet is very complete and modernly furnished and offers a large living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining table and patio doors directly to the garden as well as a modern, open, fully equipped kitchen. On the upper floor there are 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 balcony. The attic, which you reach via stairs, offers additional space for 2 people. You can park directly under the carport at the chalet.
Kötschach-Mauthen is located at the upper end of the Carinthian Gailtal, embedded in breathtaking mountain formations, belongs to the Nassfeld - Pressegger See tourist region and offers a small family ski area with 6 kilometers of slopes as well as restaurants, shops, all hiking and cycling tours, the Hike World with 25 themed trails and a large swimming pool (Aquarena water and wellness oasis). The well-known Sun Skiworld Nassfeld ski area with 110 kilometers of slopes and 30 lifts is approx. 25 km away (accessible with the free ski bus).
Kötschach-Mauthen is an ideal destination for both a sun and snow holiday. For the active, sporty holidaymaker, but also ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, and is known for its magnificent nature and healthy air. In summer the options are truly endless, with canoeing, rafting, mountain biking, hiking and cycling. The Waldbad Mauthen natural swimming pool or the Pressegger See east of Hermagor offer lots of swimming fun in summer!
There are plenty of shops for your daily needs right in town as well as a good selection of restaurants.

The holiday home was well equipped, very high-quality furnishings (Weber grill/Bose sound box etc.). The location is also very attractive. However, everyday things such as soap, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, salt/pepper etc. were missing. In addition, the 3rd bedroom, which is on the "gallery", was not usable for us. This can only be reached via a ladder and not a conventional staircase. Our 18-month-old daughter was supposed to sleep there, as she cannot climb the ladder on her own and carrying her up was not possible. (You need both hands to climb the ladder) She had to sleep in the parents' bedroom. The 3rd bedroom can therefore only be used by children/adults who can easily climb a ladder on their own. If we had had this information, we would not have booked the holiday home at all. Beautiful modern furnished houses with all necessary facilities. Both houses were clean. Good reception by the caretaker. The houses are a short (walking) distance from amenities. Especially the location in relation to the public swimming pool is perfect.

The chalet was exactly the perfect for us 4 people. We not only had enough separate bedrooms, but also separate bathrooms. The equipment was very high quality, from the wood stove, Weber electric grill, full kitchen and washer / dryer. Everything was here. The TV with satellite. And getting Bose Sound up and running and troubleshooting when the WiFi wasn't working was not that easy .., The house folder was essentially only available in Dutch, the caretaker was overwhelmed with this problem. The technology freak in our group did router reset and the like. got everything going, but that could be improved a bit. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely be back because Kötschach-Mauthen is the perfect base camp for a motorcycle group. We drove countless passes and mountain roads and were in Slovenia and Italy, also at Pressegger See. Above our chalet was also a large swimming facility, with an outdoor and indoor pool and good restaurants. Overall, we only ate delicious food in town. Five stars for location and accommodation
