This detached holiday home for a maximum of 8 people with a large garden is located in the heart of the unspoilt traditional village of Deutsch-Griffen in Carinthia, close to Lake Ossiach and Lake Wörthersee and the Hochrindl-Sirnitz ski area.
The holiday home is furnished with lots of wood, spread over the 1st and 2nd floors of the house and offers 2 kitchen-living rooms, each with a dining area, 3 large bedrooms (2 of which have a double bed and an additional 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms and a large garden with garden furniture. Parking is available directly at the house.
The house is only 9 km from the quiet ski slopes of the Hochrindl/Sirnitz ski area with a total of 20 km of slopes, 5 drag lifts and a 4-seater chair lift, and in the Gurktal Alps you can look forward to 3 other ski areas, the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area with 103 km of slopes, the Turracher Höhe with almost 43 km of slopes and the well-known Katschberg ski area with 70 km of slopes. In the winter season there is a ski bus service directly in the town.
In spring, a visit to the Malta Valley and a trip on the Hochalmstraße with spectacular views of the high alpine landscape are recommended. In summer, several Carinthian bathing lakes such as the Sonnegger See in Sittersdorf, the Pirkdorfer See in St. Michael ob Bleiburg, the Schwarzsee in Deutsch-Griffen, the Ossiacher See or the famous Woerthersee offer lots of bathing fun!
Deutsch-Griffen is a municipality in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia and is located in a side valley of the Gurk Valley. A striking point in the municipality is the fortified church from the 12th century, located on a hill.
Directly in the town there are numerous shops for daily needs, as well as a small selection of restaurants.

The host gave us a nice welcome and was very friendly. The house was not really clean when we arrived, at first glance everything seemed clean. In all corners were cobwebs with small flies and spiders. There was still food from the previous occupants. A bed was broken and we made it ourselves.

This house is not recommended, absolute no-go for small children, too small for 2 families, not all the utensils in the kitchen are available, garden furniture only for 4 people, only 1 TV in the house, €80 final cleaning is too expensive and you can do it yourself the landlady still wants the money, the house isn't that clean either, everything is sticky, I have to say: very bad

House is for 2 families (who are on holiday together) then it may be a bit tight but very spacious for 1 family. Quiet location, to go to different lakes am half an hour to hour on the road. No problem for us. Small supermarket is 40 m from the house. House is next to the fire brigade (just drive down the street) we enjoyed the peace and made beautiful outings. (Keep in mind that the church bells ring at 6.00 and 19.30. Tradition there) For the price a spacious and neat house with garden.

Arrived on Tuesday around 8 a.m. Officially, we were only in the house from 3 pm. Fortunately it was already ready and we were immediately allowed into the house. The house met expectations. Compared to other holiday homes, this was relatively cheap for 10 days, but the house is also quite dated. Both in terms of interior and available equipment. The area was beautiful.

Fantastic warm welcome by the owner. Location of the cottage is perfect, it is 10min times to the ski slope (Hochrindl). Environment is fine, there is a small supermarkets and a bank in the neighborhood. All in all a good but somewhat dated house. Really Austrian.
